LA’s Best Venues
Originally opened in 1927 during the revival theater era of the late 1920’s in downtown Los Angeles, the Mayan is an ornate classic theater featuring pre-Columbian patterns and sculptures throughout it’s ornate facade, lobby and original chandelier in the main auditorium based on the Aztec calendar stone.
Now a Historic Cultural Monument, the Mayan Theater was transformed into a nightclub in 1990 and is widely regarded as LA’s best mega-club, having preserved it’s Mayan theater design but successfully morphing itself into a venue for clubbing.
The theater has been used as a location in many famous TV shows and movies, including Save the Tiger, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School, A Night at the Roxbury and The Bodyguard.
Masterbeat has been ringing in the New Year at The Mayan since 2003 and we are proud to call the venue our exclusive home in Los Angeles.
The Stock Exchange
One of Masterbeat’s newest exclusive venues, the LA Stock Exchange is quickly becoming one of our crowd’s favorite dance venues.
Once the original Los Angeles Stock Exchange, and home to one of our first Masterbeat After-hours, Exchange LA has under gone a multi-million dollar renovation, featuring state of the art 3 story LED walls, cryogenic effects and 4 points of thundering Funktion One sound.
Home of the weekly Insomniac events, Stock Exchange plays host to the greatest club nights and DJ’s from around the world, and we’re proud to welcome you into this iconic club for One Life.
One of the world’s most famous nightclub brands, Avalon, has it’s flagship home in Hollywood. Avalon is famous around the world for it’s legendary locations in Boston, New York, Signapore and Los Angeles.
Originally The Hollywood Playhouse, the venue opened on January 24, 1927. Over time, the venue has been known as The El Capitan Theater, The Jerry Lewis Theater, The Hollywood Palace and finally The Palace before being transformed into Avalon in 2002.
The historic theater has housed everything from ABC Studios and their related productions, award shows, burlesque productions, the Lawrence Welk Show and more.
After a recent multi-million dollar renovation, the new Avalon is regarded as one of the world’s finest clubs with it’s proprietary custom EAW Avalon Sound System, moving light trusses and high resolution video installations.
We’re excited to welcome Avalon back to our New Year’s Eve lineup for our legendary Closing Party: Legacy.
